Monday July 21st 9:00 am – 1:00 pm and Thursday August 7th 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, we will be having New Leader Training held here at our Office. Please let all your new leaders who haven’t completed GS Welcome, Basics and Journey’s know about this training.

Leaders who plan on attending July 21st training must RSVP by July 16th .

Leaders who plan on attending August 7th training must RSVP by  August 1st.

PCCS Brownie Troop Camp

In the lush, secluded setting of Camp Paumalu girls will spend their days learning basic outdoor skills, hiking, crafting, swimming, and making friends that will last a lifetime–all while building Courage, Confidence and Character!

Event open to: 
Brownie Girl Scouts and adult chaperones. All girls must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone.

Camping Hawaiian Style Training

Interested in taking your troop camping? Join us for a day at Camp Paumalu and learn to teach outdoor skills to the girls in a troop, Service Unit or program setting. Outdoor cooking, knot tying, and fire building are just a few of the skills adults and Program Aides will learn.

Ewa/Kapolei Parent Interest Meeting

Do you know a girl who is interested in joining the Girl Scouts and lives in the Ewa or Kapolei area? If so, we encourage you to attend a Parent Interest Meeting to learn more about what girls do in the Girl Scouts and how parents can get involved! This meeting is intended for parents with daughters in the Daisy (grades K-1), Brownie (grades 2-3) and Junior (grades 4-5) levels.

First Aid/CPR/AED Training

What:  Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Training

Cost:  $45 for Girl Scout leaders, parents and members (includes training manuals and certification) / *$75 all others (by credit card) RSVP and Payment Deadline:  January 9, 2014

Training is being provided by AED Institute (Pam Foster). Session is open to 35 people.  Payment to be made via credit card to AED Institute by January 9. 

While this is a Pediatric Training that will focus on First Aid/CPR/AED for elementary school aged and younger, Adult First Aid/CPR/AED training will be covered.  However, if Adult manuals and certification are required, additional cost will apply ($35 manuals and $10 certification).  Bring a sack lunch or a museum snack bar is also available.

PCCS Troop Camp (Cadette and Older)

We are at capacity for the PCCS Troop Camp (Cadette and Older). Please check our calendar for other camping events coming up!

Do you love making use of resources found in nature? Do you want to make your own first aid kit? Do you want to learn first aid and life support strategies while hiking, camping and swimming? We invite all Cadette, Senior & Ambassador-level Girl Scouts to put their outdoor know-how to the test at our First Aid-themed weekend camp! In a lush, secluded setting, spend the day on Saturday learning basic first aid for indoor and outdoor situations. On Sunday, put your skills to use in a practice outdoor first aid scenario at GHS’s own Camp Paumalu.

True Blue Christmas Celebration

We’re having an evening filled with Christmas crafts, a Scrumptious Dinner and we’ll end the night watching the DVD premier of The New Smurfs 2 Movie!  Wait, that’s not all!  We’re also having a Candy Buffet Bar, Popcorn & not 1, but 2 Girl Scout patches!!  That’s right, attending Girl Scouts will receive (1) Movie Night patch and(1) Christmas Ornament Craft patch!  How Smurfy is that?!

Don’t delay, sign up today and reserve your seat for The Smurftastic True Blue Christmas Party! Seats are limited to the first 150 people and this event is only for registered Girl Scouts and their accompanying adults.

Notes:
1. Each participant must complete, print out, and bring a Council Health Form that will be collected at check-in. When you register you will be emailed a copy of the form that you can complete, print out, and bring to the rally.
2. Troops and families are welcome to bring a sack/picnic lunch.
3. The weather can be changeable. Dress in layers; be prepared for cool temperatures.

PCCS Dad & Me Camp

Thank you for your interest in the upcoming PCCS Dad & Me Camp on Dec. 7-8, 2013. The number of Dads and Daughters has surpassed our maximum number at camp capacity and the registration is closed. 

A Girl or Adult Health Information for Council Programs form must be completed and submitted for all girl participants and their Dads by Monday, 11/25. These forms found on our website, are “fillable” Word documents. To sign these documents, please type in your complete name on the applicable three signature lines. Attach the documents to an email and email them to miuno@girlscouts-hawaii.org.
