Paumalu Camping with A Core Staff

Paumalu Camping with a Core Staff (PCCS) is one of the most popular activities Girl Scouts of Hawai`i offers during its membership year! Why is it so cool? It is the only self-sustaining program solely run by volunteers and older Girl Scouts! PCCS unites the Journeys curriculum and outdoor experiences to allow girls, in grades 8 and above, opportunities to put their leadership skills to the test and function as camp counselors after they have completed specialized trainings. Girls share what they have learned through their journeys in Girl Scouting, and of course, make lasting memories that keep participants wanting to come back for more!

These fun-filled themed camps are executed one weekend each month between October and April and are typically geared toward Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes. There are a few extra special camp weekends during which parents are allowed to join in the fun and camp out too! Activities include, but are not limited to:

Hiking
Swimming
Making crafts
Singing
Storytelling
Playing sports
Roasting S’mores

*Participants must be registered for the current Girl Scout membership year to attend this program.
