Strengthen your leadership skills and learn how you can share your expertise and knowledge of Girl Scouting with others by becoming a Program Aide or Counselor In Training. Girls who completed the 6th grade or older and are interested in working with Troops/groups at Troop, Service Unit, PCCS and Council events, are invited to participate in this beginner’s level training for Program Aides and Counselors in Training.
Learn the behavior characteristics of the Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girls that make working with each level fun and unique. During this training you will:
- Learn invaluable lessons of listening and working well with younger girls and their troop leaders.
- Help girls earn their Journey awards.
- Be a role model to the younger girls.
Girl requirements:
- Each incoming 6th, 7th, or 8th grade Cadette is required to have completed at least one (1) LIA award. Incoming 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th graders must have worked with younger girls in troop, service unti or outside events.
- Each girl is required to submit a complted Girl Health Information for Council Programs form at check-in. Do NOT use the Girl Health History form.
- All participants must be registered members of GSUSA for the 2014-2015 membership year.
