As part of Kaneohe Troop 1018’s Service Project, Girl Scouts collect lei and flowers to decorate the graves every Memorial Day at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe.  Help them out by bringing a lei (artificial or floral), sewing a lei, or donating flowers! Please help spread the word about this project in your communities to make the event as big as possible!

Girl Scouts from he Kaneohe Service Unit will be manning the donations at the Center Court Stage area in Windward Mall.  They will also be sewing lei with fellow Scouts and inviting shoppers to join in on lei sewing in the court.  Flower, and yarn/ribbon leis are greatly appreciated. Suggested  blossoms to bring and share: stephanotis, plumeria, bougainvillea, crown flowers.  Stalks of hardy tropical flowers are also accepted (24 inches maximum).  Fee is $3.50.

Custom patches will be ordered for this event; patches are limited so sign up early RSVP by 4/20/2015 to Ailyn by emailing her at [email protected]
