Video contest! Deadline: Extended to October 14, 2013, at 5 p.m.

Join First Lady Michelle Obama and our very own Hawai`i-based volunteers Tiffany and Erica in sharing your great Girl Scout volunteer stories! During National Recruitment Week, we want to encourage more adults to volunteer for Girl Scouts here in Hawai`i. If you are a Girl Scout parent or volunteer, inspire others to join you in volunteering by sharing your story.

We released another very special video of Dr. Maya Soetoro-Ng, President Barack Obama‘s sister, who is proud to be a Girl Scouts of Hawai`i volunteer. Watch her video for inspiration!

Send your recording to [email protected] by Monday, October 14 at 5 p.m. and we’ll post it on our Facebook page. The video that receives the most “likes” in a 24-hour period will be highlighted on our GSH website!

Tips:
1. Wear your GS t-shirt and volunteer pin if you have one!
2. Share how volunteering for GS has impacted your life
3. Invite your Girl Scout to share how important having volunteers like you is to her
4. All videos should be family-friendly, and have fun!

By sending in your video, you agree that all persons in the video are Girl Scout members and thus permit Girl Scouts of Hawai`i to publicize your video on our website and other media outlets where appropriate. In order to ensure your privacy, please do not mention any last names or school names in your videos. Testimonial about Girl Scouting in Hawai`i specifically is a plus.

Please include your name, your troop name and level (Daisy, Brownie, etc.) in the email. Videos do not have to be professionally done!
