Participate in Honolulu’s Chinese New Year’s Parade!

Want to participate in Honolulu’s Chinese New Year’s Parade? Here’s how!

WHAT: Night in Chinatown (Chinese New Year) Parade in Honolulu
WHEN: Saturday, February 2, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
COST: The cost is $3.00 for the Girl Scouts participating in the parade. This covers the patch, shipping, misc., SU cost, and extra GS Insurance. If you want a patch, you need to register by December 1, 2012.
WHERE:  Begins on Hotel Street at the State Capitol and proceeds to Maunakea Street (ends at River St.)
WHY: Girls Scouts will have the opportunity to promote the organization, celebrate our 100 years of Girl Scouting and the upcoming cookie season. Some cookie costumes will be available to wear for the parade!
ATTIRE: Girl Scouts must be in full GS uniform (white top; khaki skirt, skort, or pants; vest or sash; and covered (close-toe) shoes).  If anyone is interested in wearing a cookie costume, please let us know when you register. (Note: There are a limited number of costumes available.)

TO REGISTER: E-mail Troop Number and the number of participants to Clinton (Honolulu West SU manager) at[email protected] by 12/1/2012. (HWSU needs a final headcount by January 16, 2013. If you would like a patch, please register by December 1, 2012!)
