EVENT: The Mothers of Professional Basketball Players has graciously offered to host a charity event for the Girl Scout Council of Hawaii. Robin Roberts of ABC’s Good Morning America and ESPN will mc the event along with Janet Hill, mother of NBA star, Grant Hill.

As part of the “Halftime Hula Hoopla,” the mothers will model autographed basketball jerseys signed by their famous sons and daughters, clothes from local designers, and other outfits of their choice. Many of the mothers will be accompanied by their sons and daughters who are associated with the NBA, WNBA, and NBDL International.

The evening promises to be one filled with fun and entertainment provided by the mothers, theirs sons and daughters, local entertainers, Hawaii athletes, and basketball media clips. Those attending the event will have an opportunity to walk away with autographed jerseys and basketballs, and other give away items.

DATE: Friday, August 8, 2003
TIME: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Hawai`i Convention Center, Kalakaua Ballroom.
Garage Parking is $3.00.

  Place of Purchase
    and Pick-up:
  • Tickets can be purchased and picked up at the Girl Scout Council of Hawaii Headquarters at 420 Wyllie Street, Honolulu, HI 96817 during business hours on Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Ticket purchases processed over the phone using a credit card can be picked up at the Girl Scout Council Headquarters before August 7, 2003 by 5:00 p.m. Order tickets over the phone by calling (808) 595-8400 ext. 213.
  Will Call:
  • Tickets paid for but not picked up prior to the event will be available at the event’s Will Call desk outside of the Kalakaua Ballroom from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Driver’s license must be shown to obtain tickets.
