Chinese New Year Parade

chinese-parade-coloring-pages

COST:  The activity fee cost is $3.25 for the girl scouts participating in the parade – this covers the patch, shipping, misc. Service Unit cost, and extra Girl Scouts Insurance.   The Adult activity fee is $.50 per each adult. If you want a patch, you need to register and pay by November 10, 2014 – the patch is a special order and takes time to create/make/ship to Honolulu – 3 inch round patch with a goat and Chinese New Year 2015 GSH.  IF a parent wants a patch — they do NOT pay $.50 — the PARENT would pay just the $3.25 amount.

TO REGISTER:  E-mail Troop Number and the number of participants to Clinton {HWSU manager} at nuuanugs_99@yahoo.com by 11/10/2014. Must follow all Safety Activity Checkpoints.

Parade Route:  Begins on Hotel Street at the State Capitol and proceeds to Maunakea Street ends at River Street.

ATTIRE:  Girl Scouts must be in full GS uniform: white top; khaki skirt, skort, or pants; vest or sash; and covered (closed-toe) shoes.  If anyone is interested in wearing a cookie costume, please let us know when you register.  (Note:  There are a limited number of costumes available.)

This parade is expected to get national coverage.  It’s actually only a 15 – 20 minute walk, but because of the number of participants in past years, the event is scheduled to last longer than 2.5 hours. HPD controls the stop and go of traffic per the entire cross streets.

Registration:  If you are interested in participating in this event and receive patches, please contact Clinton Wong HWSU manager at nuuanugs_99@yahoo.com by November 10, 2014.

Start: February 14, 2015 3:00 am
End: February 14, 2015 6:30 pm
