Girls will gain first-hand knowledge of a working farm through hands-on activities.  They will learn that farming is functional but can also provide for a fun experience.

Girls who participate in this program will have an opportunity to learn about the farming and harvesting of a variety of vegetables.  They will have an opportunity to pick and take home a small quantity of a vegetable of their choice (dependent upon what is available); choose, harvest and take home a small pumpkin; learn about corn cultivation and explore a corn maze; experience a hay ride; and meet and learn about some of the animals that live on the farm.

This is a site visit that encompasses hands on experiences including vegetable picking, a corn maze and a hay ride.  Games and other activities will be incorporated into the program.

Programs Intended for-Level/Grade: registered Daisy (K-1) and Brownie (2-3 Grades) Girl Scouts
